“Festive season” in the Maldives is the magical period between Christmas and the New Year (with a few days either side for good measure), which coincides with peak season. It usually spans 15 December until 10 January, and is when the islands really come to life, showcasing the most dazzling and unique offerings at each property.
During this time, almost every resort pulls out all the stops to keep guests entertained, engaged, well fed with specialised programs and visiting guests. Throughout the destination – and at each individual property – there are varying activities available for all ages, all day, every day.
Think extravagant and then multiply it by ten. This is the time of year you’ll encounter memory-making moments such as jazz festivals and wonderous, outdoor epicurean experiences; appearances from sports stars and visiting chefs; live music, firework displays, wellness experiences, education programs, water sport games; and of course, visits from Santa.
